Dear Students and Prospected Students
 

Sapanca Turizm MYO was founded in 2011 as Kırkpınar Turizm MYO, which is affiliated with Sakarya University, to train qualified manpower for the tourism sector. Our educational journey, which started in 1995 with the Tourism and Hotel Management Program opened in Sapanca Vocational School, is taking firm steps towards becoming the most qualified tourism school in the region with the Tourism and Travel Services Program, Cooking Program and Tourism Animation Program opened in the following years. Our school was incorporated into Sakarya University of Applied Sciences on May 18, 2018 and its name was changed to Sapanca Tourism Vocational School.

Our goal is not only to produce science, but also to become an educational institution that tries to strengthen its ties with the environment it is, contributes to regional and national development by producing joint projects with non-governmental organizations. Since our departments have been established, the availability of our quotas is consistently high, enabling us to have a qualified student profile.

Our education policy is planned to remove tourism education from the closed classroom environment, to apply it in the field and to teach it on site. In this context, in addition to the summer internships, our students spend one semester with on-the-job training in enterprises with the 3 + 1 education model applied in all SUBÜ Vocational Schools.

I would like to remind the students who will choose the tourism business as a profession, firstly that they do not forget that this business is a part of the services sector, and that the prerequisite for doing the job well is primarily doing it well. In other words, I recommend that the management of the facility, which is the last point in the line of business, does not start with school graduation, is the result of working tirelessly in the touristic establishments together with the education completed in the school, as well as the lessons and education they will take, to develop themselves and "knead" in the business line. .
